The 2016 season is now coming to an end at Little Satmar, how the year has flown by!
It was lovely to welcome back our regular visitors as well as meet all our new guests; many of whom are looking forward to visiting us again.
Over the last few months we have been re-vamping our bee garden; adding more plants to attract both the bees and butterflies. Our resident hedgehogs are still here so we have been helping them along with a little extra food and have also added some natural housing for their hibernation.
We are very pleased to say that Little Satmar Holiday Park has once again been awarded Gold in the David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme. Thank you to all our holiday home owners for planting bee and butterfly friendly plants round their homes this season. Let’s keep up the good work next year!
As with every winter period the park will be getting a little TLC during the colder months. We are also adding scented flowers to the garden in front of the office, to enhance the area for those who like to sit there and enjoy the sunshine.
The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Service was our chosen charity for this year and we managed to raise £329.50 so a huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported our charity BBQ and quiz.
Enjoy what is left of this season and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2017!
