It was lovely to welcome back many familiar faces to Quex Park this season as well as a number of new ones; both touring guests and new holiday home owners.
We are very pleased to receive the David Bellamy Gold Award again for our commitment to conservation on the park. The team have worked hard this year; the park has looked lovely and the bee friendly plants have done their job well, attracting a large number of bees!
As we approachs ha autumn it is time to look at our winter maintenance plan. During the close down period the new road in Robins and car park in Finches will be tarmaced. We are also looking at the possibility of renewing the entrance driveway; we hope the weather will be kind and allow us to do this! The new garden in Robins was put on hold during the main holiday season but we hope to make a start on that again soon too.
Three ‘dog’ bins have recently been installed on the park and we ask that all dog owners please make use of them. Unfortunately, our bird feeders have been attracting some unwanted visitors so we would be grateful if you don’t put anything on them for the time being, thank you.
We recently had an unscheduled guest who stayed with us for five days. Her name is Paris and she is a Harris Hawk!! Paris normally lives next door at Quex Park Estate, but decided to have a short break with us here on the touring park! She has now returned home but we are sure she enjoyed her stay!
Thank you to everyone who visited this year and we look forward to seeing you again next season!
