24.10.2019 - Holiday Parks Touring Parks
A wonderful summer followed by a September which allowed us to still enjoy sitting outside, has now given way to autumn. Along with the wonderful coloured leaves we have unfortunately also got the weather to go with it. With the ground now becoming very wet we would ask all home owners if possible to park in the car parks in order to prevent damage to the grass.
We have had a busy summer with the touring park welcoming many new and returning customers, keeping the amenities building in good use. Shrubs have now been planted to the rear of the building ready for next season and a further feature will be added over the quiet time, look out for that next year!
A number of new homes joined the park this year and we have more still to come. We trust that all our new owners will enjoy their time with us and we wish those that are leaving all the best for their future ventures.
Our thanks to Les and Lucy who produced some lovely bug houses from recycled material for us to sell with the proceeds being put towards additional plants for the park. These proved very popular and hopefully we will be able to do the same next year.
We are delighted to say that we have retained our David Bellamy Gold Award and gained our Woodland badge which was the theme for this years ‘5 Habitats in 5 years’.
The new woodland area in Robins now has the addition of a bat house and the shrubs are settling in nicely. Nearby the grass circles are maturing well and continue to attract butterflies and bees.
Our winter maintenance works have begun which will include repairs to fences, garden borders, hedge trimming and of course painting.
If you are still with us in this latter part of the season there are a couple of events coming up very soon:
