The Honey Bee Pledge

03.11.2016 - General Holiday Parks

As you may know, Keat Farm’s holiday parks have been taking part in the David Bellamy Conservation Awards Scheme for the last 15 years.

This year the awards have added an extra dimension to the scheme by encouraging parks to join the Honey Bee Friendly Park Project, in association with the British Beekeepers Association. The aim: to help conserve the British bee population that has sadly been declining over the years.

Our three holiday parks have signed up to the Honey Bee Pledge and will make a start by increasing the number of bee friendly plants growing throughout the season. Other projects will develop over time, as we learn various other things we can implement to help this worthwhile cause.

So if you happen to be visiting Little Satmar, Quex Park or Hawthorn Farm keep an eye out for our little bee projects as well as our ongoing commitment to the David Bellamy Conservation Awards Scheme. If you have any suggestions please do let us know!!
