03.07.2017 - Holiday Parks Touring Parks
Are you planning on visiting Kent this weekend? If so, you are visiting at the perfect time as this weekend is the annual Kent County Show – one of Kent’s biggest summer events held at the Detling Showground in Maidstone. If you are staying at one of Keat Farm’s holiday and touring parks, you may have to travel but it will be worth it for a really great day out for the whole family!
Organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society and taking place over three days, the Kent Show primarily showcases all things country – from farming to rural life. However, don’t be put off if this doesn’t sound like your scene, as the show has something for everyone, with displays, plenty of local food, entertainment, competitions and activities.
As well as being able to visit cattle, sheep, pigs and other livestock in the livestock marquee, there is also pony rides, live bee demonstrations, dog displays, floral art and flower demonstrations, fairground rides plus so much more. Follow the link to find out more about Kent County Show.
Food and Drink
One of the best parts of any festival or fair is the food! Showcasing local, national and international produce from pulled pork burgers, to local honey, to Kent’s finest locally produced beer and cider. The Food Hall is now a permanent building, full of butchers, cheesemakers, bakers and confectioners to name just a few.
If you do not manage to buy your tickets online beforehand, you will be able to buy tickets on the gate. Ticket prices are as follows: Adults £23, Family tickets (2 adults, 2 children) £50, Children £7 and under 5’s go free! Follow the link for more information on tickets.
