Near the sea is often the obvious picnic choice and you could head off to one of Kent’s Blue Flag award winning beaches. Alternatively, why not dine with channel views on top of the White Cliffs at Dover. Relax amongst the wildlife and stroll along the cliff top paths.
A bit further inland you can enjoy your cucumber sandwiches at Kearsney Abbey Gardens. Informal parkland with 2 lakes and even a dedicated BBQ area if you are feel inclined.
If a river location is more your scene then try Grove Ferry at Upstreet. Relax on the grass, take a river trip or pick up one of the many country walks; either along the river bank or into the neighbouring Stodmarsh National Reserve.
If you have any favourite picnic spots we would love to hear about them!
