Quex Park Is Blooming…

03.11.2016 - General

At Quex Park we have had a busy and sunny Whitsun Bank Holiday a few weeks ago; we are hoping the summer will be just as promising. The flowers and shrubs are blooming in abundance and we are continuing the garden development in Robins field – although the continual grass growing did slow us down for a while whilst we kept on top of the mowing!!

A new ant farm has been set up!! Hopefully the queen is settling into her new home and a colony forms soon – plenty to look at during the school holidays!! We are also taking an extra interest in bees this year, having taken the British Beekeepers Association Honey Bee Pledge. In doing so we are trying to make Quex Park more bee friendly by including lots of bee loving plants. We even have a ‘bee plant finder’ activity sheet you can take round the park to identify what we have growing.

The cafe is open and looks forward to providing refreshments to all who visit it. Whether it be it a cup of tea, breakfast or one of our specials, a warm welcome awaits you.
