What do these have in common; vintage cars, a hummingbird moth, African drummers and quizzes?

Answer: summer 2014 at Quex Caravan Park.

We started our summer events one June evening with a display of 40 vintage cars on the park. As well as our holiday home owners and touring guests we also had visitors from further afield. The cafe opened up for the evening too, serving hotdogs to those in need of a snack.

In July we had our open weekend that included children’s craft activities and entertainment from Jambo Africa.

The sun shone and a good time was had by all.

August saw the start of a new project ‘Quexplorers’. Every Friday morning for the 6 weeks of the summer holiday’s children on the park could come and join in the fun that included bug hunting, making bug homes, planting and creating hanging bird feeders all in their very own garden space.

Since Easter the cafe has hosted five popular quiz nights and we have had a regular visitor to the plants by the office in the form of a hummingbird moth.

As autumn approaches and the season starts to slow down we have planned an end of season party. This will be held on Saturday 18th October at King James Church Hall, Garlinge. Due to limited space this is a ticket only event and has proved so popular it has already sold out!

Thank you to everyone for joining in and supporting these events which made it a busy, yet very enjoyable summer!
