11.04.2019 - Holiday Parks Touring Parks
Although the 2019 season has begun it doesn’t feel particularly spring-like right now with the northerly wind blowing! Despite the chilly weather we have already welcomed some of our home owners back to the park as well as early season camping guests.
During the winter period we have been busy with a variety of projects to improve the park. The entrance now has new signage as well as a brick pillar fence with integral lighting. A real improvement, especially at night. You will also notice as you enter the park we have upgraded our entry barrier, bringing it in line with the latest Health and Safety and our security requirements.
Both our touring washing up areas now benefit from new sinks and taps. Building improvements have also been made to help keep the elements at bay should you be the one doing the chores in the rain!
Just down the road from the park Dover Districts new leisure centre is now open. It has pools, fitness facilities plus a climbing wall and is proving very popular. A perfect place to get active and have some fun!
As always our contribution to the David Bellamy Conservation Awards is among our priorities. We hope to build on last year and already have some new features planned. We will keep you posted…
And lastly, with Easter weekend just around the corner we have a few events taking place. The cafe is hosting a quiz night on Saturday 20th as well as bingo on Sunday 21st, both start at 7.30pm. We will also have an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday, please ask a member of the Hawthorn Team for further details. We hope to see you there!
