What a wonderful summer it turned out to be after the slow and very wet start.
Glorious summer days, occasionally too hot; for it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t have something to say about the weather!!!
The birds liked to take a dip in our shaded water feature when the sun was at its hottest! Our thanks to everyone who put out a small bird bath/water dish, the birds were very grateful.
We are delighted to once again receive the David Bellamy Gold Award and hope that everyone agrees that the park has looked really lovely this year. The honey bee friendly plants are doing well and the bee population is thriving.
A number of new homes have been sited on the park this year and we would like to welcome all our new owners and trust that they will enjoy their time at Quex Holiday Park.
With the end of season fast approaching, the winter maintenance work will commence soon; hedge cutting, tree maintenance plus our winter works schedule, which is currently being finalised.
This year’s Bank Holiday quizzes were moved to Sunday afternoons, a change which was well received. It allowed us to spread out a little more and sit outside to enjoy the sunshine.
The Ramsgate Old Motor and Motorcycle Club returned on Thursday 1st September for their annual rally. The display of classic cars was well attended; not just to see the cars but to enjoy the BBQ and hot beverages too!!
If you are wondering where to go for Bonfire Night this year, our neighbouring venue, Quex Park, will be having its display on Saturday November 5th; celebrations can actually fall on the correct day this year with the 5th being a Saturday. All details; timing, prices, admission etc are available on their website.
We hope you enjoy the remainder of the 2016 season and look forward to welcoming you back next year.
