A belated Happy New Year to you all, we hope 2016 has started well!
As our last newsletter mentioned we had a few projects for the winter months in preparation for this season which we are pleased to say have now been completed. The shower block has had its facelift, adding a little more colour to make it feel more like a home from home. The tourer washing up area has also been revamped with a coat of paint as well as a new screen to provide protection from the elements. We have also installed a new touring sign at the park entrance; to not only highlight that we accept tourers and tents but also to direct visitors towards reception.
One project we are excited about this year is to establish a “Help for Heroes” garden at Little Satmar. A very appropriate choice as we are located so close to the Battle of Britain Memorial. We will be having fund raising events for our brave boys and girls throughout the season, so look out for more details on further newsletters.
Our wildlife conservation is important to us and we are delighted to have been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award again this year. Keep an eye out and see if you can spot our new bat boxes which were put up during the closed period. We are also striving to become a ‘bee friendly’ park so there may be some park bee projects you can get involved with too.
We look forward to welcoming back all our regular visitors and also meeting many new ones!
Hope to see you soon!
